Lucy woke up on the couch with her hands duct taped behind her. The clock read 8:28 PM. She tried to speak, but her mouth was taped. She heard noises that sounded like dishes being washed coming from the kitchen. She sat up and started to walk towards the front door. Lucy hoped she would be able to open it without him hearing her.

Suddenly John stood in the doorway. She had only gotten about 6 feet away from the couch.

“Oh no you don’t.” John said out loud as he grabbed her arm. “Where do you think you’re going? Sit down in this chair and be still.”

As John walked across the room for the duct tape, Lucy took off for the door. But she didn’t make it very far. John met her there and then pulled her back over to the chair where she had already been sitting.

“Sit there and be still.” He said to her as he walked backwards to the table where the duct tape was.

John walked back across the room to her. Duct tape in hand. He got down on his knees so he could tape her feet. As he did, she took her knee and placed it right into his chin. He fell backwards on the floor. Lucy took off for the door once more. This time she past it. And once outside started to run as fast as she could away from him.

Lucy tried ever so desperately to free her hands from behind her as she ran. But it was no use, they had been taped up real tight by John. She continued to run. Sounds of vehicles were nearby.

She ran farther and farther. Finally, she reached the highway. Lucy stood there and stared into the darkness while she tried to catch her breath.

Suddenly, she heard a noise behind her. She turned to look. But it was to late. While she had stopped to catch her breath, John had caught up with her. He grabbed ahold of her. As she struggled to get away, he started dragging her back away from the highway and into the forest.
